We believe the Great Commission is central to the life of every believer.
Before Jesus ascended, He told His followers to go and make disciples, teaching them to obey everything He had commanded (Matthew 28:18–20). When we look at the life and teaching of Jesus, we see what He trained His disciples to do. He sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God, heal the sick, care for the outcast, cast out demons, and raise the dead. Just as God freely gave us His Kingdom, so we should freely give it to others. (Matthew 10:7–8). We believe this call did not end with the first disciples. Through the same Spirit, Jesus continues His work through His people today.
Scripture points to this ongoing ministry:
Jesus said that those who believe in Him would continue the same works He did and even greater works (John 14:12)
The early Church carried the message and power of the Gospel into the world (Mark 16:14–20)
We believe the Church is not only called to share the message of Jesus, but to reflect Christ by ministering in His love and power. This does not come from striving or performance. It flows from relationship with Jesus.
As we walk with Jesus, we grow in:
Loving people well
Praying in His Spirit’s power
Christ healing and restoring people through us
Sharing the hope of the Gospel in God’s anointing
Living dependent on the Holy Spirit
Our desire is to help everyday believers grow in faith as they follow Jesus and learn to serve others in His mighty name.
Not as experts.
Not as performers.
But as people walking with God and believing in the power of Christ in us.
