What We Believe

Statement of Faith

Everything we believe begins and ends with Jesus. He reveals the heart of the Father and leads us by the Holy Spirit. We are committed to living in relationship with the Father, following Jesus, and being led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We ground our lives in Scripture and seek to walk closely with God in every part of life.

Leadership Posture

Leadership is not about position, status, or control.
It is about walking closely with Jesus and helping others do the same.

Our leaders:
 Lead from relationship with God
 Lead by example
 Lead with humility
 Lead to raise others
 Lead with love
 Lead open-handed, not controlling

We walk together as a family, carry the vision together, and release people into what God calls them to do.

Leadership begins with being with Jesus.

FAQ

The Fivefold Heart of Leadership

At Rise Up Culture Church, we believe Jesus reveals His heart through the fivefold expressions described in Ephesians 4:11 — apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, and teaching.

We do not see these as titles of status, but as dimensions of Christ’s leadership expressed through His people.

As we appoint elders and raise leaders, we desire to reflect the fullness of Christ’s heart:

Apostolic — vision, pioneering, building, and sending

Prophetic — discernment, listening to the Spirit, guarding purity

Evangelistic — boldness, outreach, and passion for the lost

Pastoral — care, protection, nurture, and relational wisdom

Teaching — grounding in Scripture, clarity, and doctrinal stability

No single gift fully represents Jesus.

Healthy leadership requires balance.

While we may not always have perfect representation of each expression at every stage, we intentionally seek to cultivate a leadership culture that honors and integrates the full heart of Christ.

This protects us from imbalance and helps us lead with humility, discernment, courage, compassion, and truth.

Women in Ministry

At Rise Up Culture Church, we believe God created men and women in His image and calls both to live fully in their identity and calling in Christ.

We affirm that spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit without distinction based on gender. Throughout Scripture, we see women serving in significant leadership, prophetic, teaching, and apostolic roles (Judges 4; Luke 8:1–3; Acts 18:26; Romans 16).

We believe that leadership in the Church is based on calling, gifting, character, and spiritual maturity — not gender. Therefore, we welcome and encourage women to serve, lead, teach, prophesy, pastor, evangelize, and function in any role for which God has called and equipped them.

At the same time, we honor the beautiful distinctions God designed between men and women. We are not seeking to erase those differences, but to remove limitations we do not believe Scripture places on women in ministry leadership.
