Loved People Love People

Jan 29 / Drew East

Dear Rise Up Family...

There’s a reason people in love suddenly become nicer.
They open doors for strangers.
They float into rooms instead of walk into them.
They whistle for no reason like they’re starring in a Disney reboot.

Why?
Because feeling loved changes how you move through the world.
But here’s the secret most Christians don’t know:

It’s impossible to love like Jesus until you first let Jesus love you.

We try so hard to imitate Christ while resisting the very love that transforms us into His likeness.
We assume God wants us to “get over ourselves” and focus on others…
But “getting over yourself” is impossible until God heals the self you’re trying to get over.

In Loved, we see that:
Loved people are the most loving people.
Because receiving love builds trust.
And trust builds surrender.
And surrendered hearts love freely.

If you haven’t been letting God lavish you with affection, your love for others will feel forced, inconsistent, or thin.
But when you receive the deep, overwhelming, unconditional love of God…
Everything changes.
You become a fountain instead of a factory.

The more you let Jesus love you,
the more naturally you love others.

Truth
You cannot love like Jesus until you let Jesus love you first — deeply, consistently, and personally.

Activation
Ask Jesus:
“Jesus, will you show me what You love about me?”
Write the first phrase that stirs — don’t overthink it.

Prayer
Father, thank you for loving me in such a heavenly way. I surrender all to you now, my Lord. I ask You to open the floodgates of Your love in my heart. Teach me to receive without fear and give without limit. This is Christ in me, overflowing with His Kingdom.

Declaration
I am deeply loved by God.
His love fills me, heals me, and flows through me.
